This Picture Jasper beauty has been woven with antique copper wire. It is strung on a 19” mahogany obsidian beaded necklace, accented with larger Picture Jasper beads. Jasper is an opaque variety of quartz. Its rustic appearance of banding and veining was created when silicate mud seeped into pockets in earliest volcanic rock. Large deposits of Picture Jasper have been located in Africa and Brazil.
